Several times a day, shopkeepers here are required to pack their food stalls and pull the canopies back, in order to let the track pass. Once the train is away, the crates of vegetables/eggs and other eatables are being placed back into position and shoppers/customers return back on the tracks – as if nothing has happened!
Where rail-track meets airport runway
Napier to Gisborne railway line in New Zealand is unique in a way as it is the world’s only railway line where a 1939 steam train engine passes through an airport runway. Although trains are required to stop and seek clearance from the air traffic control tower to cross the runway and continue down the line.

Gyeonghwa Station in South Korea is well known for its breathtaking surroundings. What makes this station stand out is the several hundred cherry trees that line the track Spring season. When they bloom, they create a dazzling display of falling blossoms, causing a flurry of beauty.
