This Is Why You Should Always Leave Your Computer Locked In The Office — When You Are Away

This might have happened to you lately. You left your desk for a while for something urgent and forgot to lock your computer or put it on sleep. Tell you what, this could be highly dangerous for you. Not only because others – in your absence – could now check the kind of sensitive, highly personal data you’re holding up in your system, but because of many other reasons. Here are nine worst case scenarios why you shouldn’t leave your computer accessible to others:

1. To make sure that the active Gtalk window – of your girlfriend – that you have left running behind all those folders doesn’t just pop up.

2. To stop that nosy IT bastard from taking a peek in your web browsing history.

3. So that you could go smoke that cigarette carefree or maybe go a little more wild and smoke a joint.

4. To make sure others don’t laugh at you saying “Man he has that all the icons available in his computer sitting right on the home screen”

5. This could end up in letting that person – who is sitting right next to you – go berserk, because he now knows that it was always you who made the wifi go so slow. Thanks to ‘Friend Bit-torrent’ who always keeps its work running in the background.

6. To make sure the HR guy doesn’t just find your updated Resume sitting right on your desktop, because last time you two spoke you agreed ‘this is the kind of company you always wished to work for’

7. To prohibit that Wannabe Comedian of your office to mess up your Facebook and post status from your account.

8. We all have personal collection of photos and movies – as per our taste – and you definitely don’t want others to see that. Do you?

9. Not to mention, this could give those omniscient bunch of ass holes a little room to play with your comp, steal your data and have your ass fired.
